Wood is the main raw material for papermaking. However, with the decrease of forest resources and the increase of human demand, the wood problem has become more and more serious. Now the waste paper has become the secondary fiber material and the most important resource for papermaking. But compared to the primary pulp, the waste paper pulp has some shortcomings which limit the use of waste paper pulp and the quality of waste paper products greatly. Use the recycled fiber reasonably
There are big differences among the basic quality of recycled fibers of different kinds of waste paper. But the recycled fiber in different grades can usually be used interchangeably. We should open our mind and use the fibers in different grades in a proper scale. Especially for the larger or comprehensive paper-making plant, it is entirely possible to use recycled fibers in different fiber grades.
Use the recycle fiber in combination with the primary pulp
Some paper can be made of 100% recycled fiber, such as newsprint paper, which can be made from fully recycled old newspapers and magazines, paper board and even white paper board. Sometimes, recycled fibers are used in combination with primary pulp in order to improve the quality of the products.
Choose reasonable equipment, technologies and process in production.
According to the category of the waste paper and the products, we should choose different production processes. On the basis of assuring the quality of the products, we should try our best to simplify the production procedures. In this way, we can save the equipment investment, the energy and water input while improve the yield of the recycled fiber. For example, if there is a new screen equipment which has the functions of both grading and dispersing, then we don’t need to assemble the grader, the dispersion machine and even the light impurity separators in the production line.
To choose the reasonable production equipment, we must combine the equipment and the production process tightly and take the advanced performance of the equipment into full consideration. For example, the continuous deflaking equipment is more suitable for the production plant with a certain scale than the batch deflaking equipment. And to avoid the difficulties in the procedure after deflaking, we’d better not to choose the long-time strong deflaking equipment. As for the cleaning equipment and the purification equipment, we should choose the multifunctional ones which have both the grading function and the dispersing function. So that the workload of screening, the amount of dust and the consumption of the power can all be reduced and the cost of the equipment can be saved at the same time. And for the flotation equipment, we can consider the new multi-grade flotation equipment which can reduce the number of the equipment, the consumption of energy, and the floor space.
We should choose those equipment with advanced technologies for every process in the production. And there are some question we should always keep in our mind. During the recycle process of the waste paper, what is the most beneficial process for deflaking and deinking the pulp? What is the most effective and energy-saving equipment for improving the flotation rate? How to deal with decomposition of hydrogen peroxide and the adverse effects of fluorescent whitening agents? All the problems above can only be solved with the application of new technology in practice.
Build the deinking waste paper pulp plant rationally
Nowadays, the output of the deinking waste paper pulp production lines is more than 100,000 tons every year in China, while it has reached an annual 350,000 tons abroad. Build large waste paper pulp plant can meet the need of both large papermaking industry and local paper plants. Especially in metropolitan cities and central areas, build a large waste paper pulp plant is highly rational and beneficial. And of course, we must choose the deinking pulp production line carefully according to the actual need of different areas.
Develop reasonable applications for the deinking sludge
Generally, deinking sludge is rich in the cellulose fiber and the filler, etc. According to the circumstance, we can develop new technologies about the applications of the deinking sludge, such as using the deinking sludge in the fields of fuel filler, building plate material, and soil conditioner.
